Struggling singer Venugopal (Mukesh) falls in love with rich girl Lakshmi (Geetha Vijayan), but faces stiff opposition from her father Sreedhara Panickar (Innocent) who had his own plans of marrying Lakshmi off to his business partner's son. Venugopal, with help from his pals, devises a plot to fake his death at the hands of Panickar & then makes a reentry as his own twin brother who was a CBI officer.
