This had way more balls than I ever could've expected from a PG-12 adaptation of Gantz. They even showed the boob alien! It's still neutered compared to the source material, but it makes up for it with the best CGI I've ever seen. As a huge fan of alien-themed survival action/horror, this goes in my good book right next to Cameron's Aliens. [I will say the writing is weak and unless you're already attached to the characters it won't do much for you, but as a fan of the franchise it's a godsend]

I always liked Gantz when it would get weird and gross. This movie works best when it's doing those things, which is relatively often. I was hoping this would encompass at least two missions to have some character growth in-between, but in the end it's decent enough like this. The high quality CGI work makes the messed up designs work pretty well. Yes, even the rubbery blob made out of naked ladies.

The animation was a bit janky but overall I enjoyed this and felt that this was a good addition to the series as a whole.

If you like action and some crazy visuals, but do not mind a bit of a cheesy plot and dialogue it is a fun movie to kill some time.

Saw this randomly in some guy's garage when our DnD session ended up being cancelled. It was kinda creepy weird with some solid action sequences and decent animation, but without any real cohesion in terms of plot. That's the problem with these manga turned into movie adaptations: you just don't have the time to delve into what makes the manga so good. And having not read the manga, based on this Netflix film, I couldn't tell you at all if it's worth picking up.

The plot is set up as a video game and the movie basically also is an filmed video-game. There is almost no story and very little character development in this almost non-stop action thrill ride. But in that front it does deliver. The action is tense, the monsters are actually scary looking, often inspired by Japanese folklore. All with all it is greatly entertaining. The CGI in this looks very realistic.

AWESOME to see such an amazing anime on returned as a movie. It was a LOT less cruel than the anime (and probably manga), but still did the trick. Great pacing and just a joy to watch with all the easter eggs, scary monsters and feelings of helplessness.

Outstanding animation for an already seen story. Worth your time watching it, though.

Fazla sözü uzatmaya gerek yok, herşeyiyle tam anlamıyla başyapıt. Gelmiş geçmiş en iyi anime filmlerinden biri, ayrıca grafikler fazlasıyla iyi.

Fun watch, very different to other things I've seen. Didn't beat me over the head with exposition which is nice. The 3D is good.

Hokey dialog, dramatic pauses so long and inappropriate they're both silly and boring, and an ending that makes no sense whatsoever with the characters' previous actions & dialog. Pretty impressive CG animation/video capture for the most part however.

Requires having seen the anime or read the manga, you could probably get by on the 2 live action films maybe. 100 minutes of nothing but nasty alien killing. It's grotesque and gruesome and a decent enough addition to the Gantz franchise, though it won't attract new fans. Just as gooey gory dark and weird as you expect Gantz to be. The creatures and the things it adds to the lore not yet seen in screen adaptations are exciting, the lack of story drops what might have been a high 80s rank for me
