Gawi

An average mediocre Korean horror movie. It has a somewhat slow pace, includes some nice death scenes but ultimately you'd be hard pressed to remember anything that had happened once the movie ends.

This is basically a Ringu clone but with some really effective scenes. You could argue that it's taken some inspiration from Italian Giallos as well. It's VERY uneven; the story and especially the way it was presented didn't really hold up but I was still pleasantly surprised by this. Nothing earth shattering but a nice way to spend a couple of hours. Maybe it was because I haven't seen one of these in a long while.
