Gentlemen of the Press (1929) marks the first big role for Kay Francis, as the questionable secretary/lover of newspaper editor Walter Huston. Both Kay and Huston are okay in this film, with Francis especially captivating the limited time she was on screen. The downfall is the writing, not helped by the lack-luster direction of Millard Webb who didn't last long with the new sound medium. So I guess only for hardcore Kay Francis fans.
