A cute horror short. I think that I respect horror more when it is combined with comedy. I didn't much like the music that went along with this short, but, taking the year it was made into consideration and possibly cultural differences, I'll allow it. You can definitely see the dark humor that is in many of Del Toro's movies. I wish that I could have seen the short in better quality as well, but that has nothing to do with the score I gave this.

An interesting blend of fantasy/horror with dark humor and tries to give a surprising end even in a 8 min movie.

I do not know if intended but I found it very funny.

Early del Toro short (he would have been about 23--unsure if it was a student film or not.) It's fun enough for what it is, but clearly shows its limitations. You can see that del Toro's visual flair is already present here, though he's perhaps overindulgent with it. Some of the elements reminded me a lot of Argento. Definitely worth the 7 minutes if you're a del Toro fan.
