Ghost Catchers

I kept wanting a zany Ole Olsen & Chic Johnson spoof comedy, so I was confused by the endless song and dance numbers which filled the first half of Ghost Catchers (1944). Once the more haunting comedy got going, the film had already lost it's steam. It was clear Universal went all-in on this production with party-like splendor and a lot of well-known characters, but they overdid things way too fast and the pacing hurt the experience. A perfect example of a over-produced comedy.
