Ghost House

Pretty white couple goes to 3rd world country and meets up with some shady white tourists who "know a cool place," only to get caught up in a 3rd world horror story that will tear their lives apart. Luckily they meet up with a white expat who is an expert on that country's supernatural lore and can save the couple's souls from eternal damnation in a 3rd world hell. AKA, every vacation I have ever taken in my life.

I was expecting to see some fresh horror element from a culture I am not used to, but the Occidental pov in the movie is just too strong and lets almost nothing new through. One scene was nearly straight out of Jacob's Ladder, the rest was a lot of "one girl screams at corridors", and "we're having a bad vacation in a weird part of the city"

A regular ghost story movie that takes the codes of Asian ghost story movies and applies them to an occidental pace and aesthetics. Thanks to the that it is not a boring film although not a big thing.

Bağımsız film tadında ilerlese de, bazı sahnelerde takibi kaçırıyorsunuz. Filmin sonunda, ruh kovucu cadı. Yaşlı kadın ne diyordu? Limonata, limonata, limonata, limonata.
