I enjoyed the setup and all three vignettes and we won't talk about the end.

A bit too reliant on jump scares, it's nevertheless creepy. The second story, in particular, is downright nightmarish.

Dark and depressing, this dive into self-induced dementia delivers a delightfully demonic dollop of drearsome dread which will work to dismay, distress, and even disgust the most distrusting of dubious director Dyson's doubters. Also, it has that guy who plays Watson in it.

An interesting, creepy and reasonably effective take on the anthology format. The performances are good, the various segments are decent enough, and the ideas at its core are intriguing. There seems to be a bit of reliance on jump scares, though, and that ending is going to be divisive - initially I felt it a bit of a cop-out, but considering it further it works reasonably well in tying together the various strands. Still, it feels like it doesn't quite fulfil its potential. Decent enough.

I've always been a little appreciative of anthology movies that put forth the effort to tie their stories together into a well formed package, and this one is nearly seemless in it's efforts to do so. The issue is that none of the component parts, or even the whole are very effective. So when that dumb end reveal happens, the movie can't even rest on the laurels of a great preceeding hour and a half, it's like watching the toilet flush after a bunch of wet farts.

Ending was pretty lame; such basic bitch cliche. Also, why does pretty much every British film of the last four or five years have this same kind of cheap antiseptic BBC feel to it?

Confronted feelings; I like some aspects of it, for instance, the second story, I like the beginning, everything that happens in the house but then the story itself not that good.

Not nearly as subversive as it wants you to think it is. The pseudo-anthology format is kind of interesting, if messily executed, but the ending is one of the laziest I've seen in recent memory. It genuinely feels cheap, mean-spirited, and unearned.

This is an effectively spooky 'haunted ride'-esque ride of tense build-ups and frightening jump-scares (The Conjuring Universe is jealous), all the while becoming more of an exploration in the paranormal in what may be considered a material world, which seeps from the stories and tears into the film into our main man's life -- then the twist ending happens and all that shit is thrown out the window (or I should say at the window and breaks its neck like a stupid raven).

Left me with an eerily haunting feeling of underwhelming.

When I picked this out on Netflix I thought it was the Mara/Affleck film, but this is a really low budget british anthology horror flick. Dreadful acting, no real tension and complete dependency on jump scares (most of which you can see coming) in addition to a horseshit ending that made me feel like I'd wasted the last 90 mins. Even the Martin Freeman can't lift this one out of the toilet from where it should be flushed for all eternity.

It's the very same exact twist I've seen done thrice now, and better implemented elsewhere. Just mentioning which other two movies I'm talking about would immediately give it away, so I won't spoil it. I just feel there's only so many times you can make the same exact movie, especially when the existing versions are superior.

Rarely have I been this genuinely scared while watching a movie. The tension never ends.In three scenes in particular the tension building is so wonderfully done that you freeze in your seat and beg the movie to take you out of your misery and finally scare you.The vibe and atmosphere is perfect keeping a mysterious and creepy style throughout the movie.Martin Freeman also gives a great, creepy and memorable performance. The ending does feel a bit cheap but it didn't hurt the overall experience.

Was it scary? No. Every single scare was accompanied by a piercingly loud noise to ensure that you jump. That's not frightening, that's damn irritating!

The second story was good and the kid in it was great. But unfortunately the rest is more or less a pointless disappointment. Wants to be more than it is but doesn't know what it wants in the end.

Good stories with an excellent wrap-around segment. The movie should have let the excellent atmosphere and tension work on it's own rather than going for the easy jump scares.

Most of the film is extremely basic with its scares, with the second story being the only one with a decent concept. It’s also very jump scare heavy, although I give credit to a really predictable jump scare that they didn’t go for. The film surprisingly gets much better after all three stories are told, but that is unfortunately most of the way through the film. It’s watchable, but not even in the top three horror anthologies.

While the ending didn't work for me, this is a creative use of a wrap-around in an anthology series. Some of the scares are good and this has a host of solid performances. The second story is really really good.
