Because I enjoy Evans, Armas and action movies in general I got some enjoyment out of this, but these two deserved better. Even by movie standards this relationship is tenuous. The comedy doesn't really work even though these two are charming. While the action reaches the beyond bog-standard tendencies of weaker action movies, which is the main reason this gets a passing grade, it goes to the "play famous song over action" well too often and it loses its impact.

Vacuous, cliche-ridden, poorly acted. There's something in here to be enjoyed, but they handle it so poorly. It felt a bit like the film was given its budget first, then figured out the plot. 'Well, we can go here, then here, and imagine this... ' It'd have been a better film if her life began to spill into his. You know average guy dates a spy; the evil guy learns this and tries to use this knowledge. Not - guy becomes a quasi-spy. Instead, the budget was used to fund Chris Evans' holiday.

"Ghosted" has some enjoyable moments, such as the central couple's first date and a well-executed action set piece. Chris Evans and Ana de Armas shine in their action roles. However, the film is marred by the lead actors' lack of chemistry, uninspired dialogue, and disjointed tone. The humor falls flat, and action scenes feel disconnected from the plot. Visually unappealing, the film is dominated by gray tones, harsh lighting, and subpar CGI.

Not bad at all. Starts pretty well and the first big action sequence in the bus is strong. But after that things fall apart. It suffers John-Wick syndrome where there are, for some reason, lots of bounty hunters around every other corner and this ruins two main scenes. Cole's family needed more screen time since they're funny. It was good to see the couple pull away from each other a few times, but the romance arc needed a few tweaks.

Gosh darn it, I abhor Ana de Armas. But fun Captain America reunion.

Disappointingly broad bicker-y rom-com. I'm not saying that Evans and de Armas *don't* have chemistry, but there sure are a lot of characters dropping in to insist that they do. Fletcher can put together an impressive action sequence, but man, were these needle drops chosen by algorithm?

I mean.. Not much on offer, and the plot goes nowhere, but it does have some laughs.. It asks a lot from you to get in the mood with its world.

From the opening scene it's clear that Armas & Evans' chemistry in Ghosted is determined more by their attractiveness than their performances. After Knives Out, this down-step is a testament to poor writing from the smorgasbord of writers (or the AI algorithm). The humour doesn't quite work beyond cheesiness and the Mackie, Stan & Reynolds' bit-role was egregiously shameless. Kenzari was the highlight. The unconvincing CGI & staged locations weren't. A few fun moments in an otherwise lame film.

It's fun but from the already been there can of reheated action movie. Add water, stir, dump on plate. Still entertaining if you're flipping through looking for anything to watch.

Dumb, but sorta cute and fun. Won't win any awards. Good for a lazy Sunday afternoon when there is nothing else on. Or to do.

Movie Marathon 5, The plot underneath is relatively simple, and the « oops they’re actually leading a secret life » is not new. The change here is how it is the guy being surprised when it is usually the girl. The girl was a bit plain at times. As a romantic comedy there was above average bickering. As an action movie it had alright fights and action scenes, they were mostly well thought-out. The cameos were hilarious also. Toward the end it was getting old however
