I thought this was pretty horrible. Rodriguez is not a good actor. The whole concept was ridiculous. This is coming from a big fan of the sport, you don't come in and train for a year, and start beating fighters who have been training since they were 8 years old. I don't care how much power you have. Especially if you're a girl.

Not bad and Michelle Rodriguez sahows flashes of star power amongst the general snarling.

Ultimately fairly standard, but Michelle Rodriguez does a really good job and the cast is generally likeable. An enjoyable film, though questionable gender politics - it's obviously "girl power!" but she starts the film alone and ends the film with SPOILERS a boyfriend (check out the first short and the final shot). As if getting a boyfriend is more of a reward than her success in boxing?

The story about how a boxer with less training, both physically and in the ring, can beat a far superior boxer. Oh yeah, she happens to be a girl too so that's different. An obvious girl power flick. Michelle Rodriguez is good but the movie isn't all that great.

I think Michelle Rodriguez is pretty hot usually, bot not as a boxer!.. Not a bad movie, but not a good one either.

The strongest plot device seems to be a romance, with some girls doing non-traditional stuff, crappy home life stuff tossed in. The lead plays anger well, and following around an angry person for a couple hours just isn't enough for me. Plays like another or any other boxing movie.

This is one of those movies where seeing the title, and reading the video's description on the back, gives you the impression of completely different kind of movie. The story has both strong and weaker elements, but any movie that does surprise me now and then has my sympathy.
