(In my best movie trailer voice) In a world...where women...have off-the-cuff conversations...about oral sex...and large penises...Queen Latifah rejoices...at the sight of a large penis...in New Orleans...where peeing on revelers...and tripping on wormwood...is as common as a large penis...

The better of the two female trip movies released this year. While the script itself is funny and enjoyable, Tiffany Haddish is the true revelation here. Immediately established herself as one of the funniest women currently working. Grapefruit...

A two-hour long comedy film is usually a recipe for disaster, but this one manages to be both funny and sweet. It's a comedy with gross-out moments in it, but those moments don't overpower everything else. It's drug scene manages to be actually funny. While everyone is great in this film, I think a lot of people will come away impressed with Tiffany Haddish.

Tiffany Haddish carries this movie. The prayer scene sandwiched between the urine and grapefruit scene was amazing

It's formulaic and stupid, but also funny as hell and extremely likeable. Tiffany Haddish is obviously going to be a star.

My totally unique thoughts about this movie--follows a familiar comedy formula and has plenty of big laughs. Tiffany Haddish is great and really steals the show.

By the time this flick squeezes in a scene showing its female protagonists doing anything thoughtful or wise, we've already sat through an hour and three-quarters of their crass, self-destructive choices. This sleazy, gal pals gone wild flick is anything but empowering to female audience members--or anyone else, for that matter. It simply encourages impressionable viewers to go out and act in similarly reckless, drunken and debauched ways. And isn't that a sad state of affairs?

Even though the white guys have turned into black women, this is the same formulaic comedy as all the rest. This one is however way above average.

The leads in this film work really well together. There are some funny moments and scenes in this movie. Overall I would recommend this comedy.

Has some good laughs. Then turns into a bad hallmark movie after the first hour or so. But with better cinematography. And better acting. Sometimes. Well, in Tiffany Haddish's case, anyway. Who, let's be honest, is always gonna be a delight. But the writing, the acting and the music aren't able, for the life of them, to go even the tiniest bit beyond the dumbest and most boring clichés. It's like a movie made for 3 year old children, who are really really slow. With R-rated humor.

Girls Trip lives and thrives on the back of Tiffany Haddish and her insane energy. Beyond that, the film is about as formulaic as they come. While I love that a film about strong black women dominated the box office, it BARELY passes the Bechdel Test. Still, Haddish is a force of nature and makes this worth a watch.

Not my type of humor but still not as bad as I thought. Mostly because of Haddish who is hilarious. 46/100.

The beginning was funny and there were other fun parts too but mostly it went downhill the longer it went. On the plus side my wife absolutely love the shit out of this movie.

Everyone in this movie feels like they just don't care about what they're saying or what they're doing; except for Larenz tate and Tiffany Haddish, who still feel as though they're trying to earn their salt.

Girls Trip is something of a surprise and I had more fun than I expected. It is completely formulaic and ridiculous throughout. But to be fair I did laugh for the majority of the overlong runtime. Unfortunately the laughs are not shared out amongst the four leading ladies but they carry this film and the standout is Tiffany Haddish who steals every scene. I wouldn’t go out of my way to watch this again. But what I expected to be unbearable was surprisingly tolerable and for the most part fun.

Let's be clear about what this movie is: it's made and marketed for a specific audience, but does its job in presenting a pretty watchable story for a wider audience despite being over two hours long. It isn't uproariously funny for the most part -- though as most have pointed out, Tiffany Haddish is the all-star -- nor is the drama particularly spellbinding. What it does do is mix the two well, with relatively few moments of inconsequential feelings. I can safely call this a pleasant surprise.

like it's very easy to see where it's going but it's peppered with so many laughs that it makes up for it.

I'm not this movie's intended audience so perhaps my opinion is less valid, but Girls Trip is bad. The plot is formulaic, the jokes exclusively crude and the entire film reeks of an indulgence normally attributed to the trash Franco and Rogen put out. Every character is a stereotype acting only to service the plot. They each have their moments but it's credit to the actresses not the writers nor the director. The movie talks down to an audience who seemingly prefer representation over quality.

Despite a star-making turn from Tiffany Haddish, GIRLS TRIP is a shaky conflation of Apatow-style raunch, sitcom-level characterization, and maudlin moralizing. The movie gets rolling with a refreshing snap, but loses its way as the comedic cliches pile up (hello, accidental drug hallucination; I see you, dance battle sequence). That's why Haddish is so delightful--and essential--as the film's sparkplug: she's a legitimately unpredictable force in an otherwise by-the-numbers experience.

My ears couldn't stand more than 30 minutes. Tiffany Haddish is the female version of Chris Rock, playing the role of the annoying, obnoxious and loud mouthed character that seem to be mandatory in this kind of movie.

As heart-warming as the movie is at times, it does feel a bit forced throughout. Mostly because of the humor. It definitely was not the rolling-on-the-floor-laughing experience the trailer promised. Had it skipped the jokes and cut about 30 minutes out of the runtime, it would have been more appreciated.
