That moment you realize that Gigan (with metal spikes in place of hands, legs, mouth and groin) can never be romantically involved with someone. That moment seconds later when I realize I'm on the couch, watching a Godzilla movie alone, with unkempt beard, eating ice cream straight from the tub. Hmm.

This movie was just complete nonsense. This means it was really fun at times, but also very bad at times. Everything was just such a mixed bag. Fights would go from very cool to utter garbage within seconds. The scenes with Gigan and King Ghidorah ripping through buildings were probably my favorite. The other parts I liked involved the whacky cast of human characters, with the ultimate being how they assist Godzilla near the end.

Alien cockroaches disguised as deceased humans are building a children's theme park to cover up their plans for the violent means for wiping out mankind (and monsterkind) to achieve world peace...sounds like more fun than it is. A clumsy production for the most part, even for a Godzilla flick, but it's kind of amusing, and Gigan is a cool monster. I also feel the need to mention that Anguirus is totally useless in this besides being a punching bag.

The space alien ones are always the worst, I don't know why they keep going back to these. Now that they've added some blood, I'm even less sure who this stuff is for (not kids I guess?). Also just because there's a barebones comic book connection doesn't mean you can let Godzilla talk through speech bubbles. Come on.

Enjoyment based almost entirely on the increasingly silly and bizarre script choices made throughout.

After a few disappointing entries this luckily again was a solid and fun entry. The human plot, while simplistic, is watchable thanks to some sympathetic protagonists. Gidorah and Gigan wreaking havoc in Tokyo belongs among the best rampage sequencess. The G&A vs G&G fight, despite some use of mismatching footage, is even more enjoyable. Godzilla is less uninvincible in this, he even bleeds. which nicely ups the stakes. Biggest WTF?! moment goes to G and A talking to each other in word bubbles.

Leans heavily on the kookiness. Plenty of fighting and wanton destruction, but the highlight here is Godzilla's failed attempt at swimming gracefully.

Gigan's one of my favorite designs. Good fight scenes as far as Godzilla goes, and an interesting enough human plot with a hamfisted message.

Often entertaining, but also cribs a bit too much from previous entries in the series, and Gigan isn't a great monster.

Colorful but dumb '70s Zilla flick. The aliens look like rejects from _Joe's Apartment_. Routine fun for fans.

Gigan seems pretty cool but this movie is one of the worst of it's kind.

I actually enjoyed the human lead, who the bad guys aptly describe as "stupid, but cunning."
