Golden Dragon, Silver Snake

This Godfrey Ho "Bruceploitation" movie is full of the expected talented fight and stunt choreography as well as all the usual strange quirks. I almost won "Bruceploitation Bingo" in the film's first ten minutes. However for a Godfrey Ho film, the movie oddly seems like one whole movie, despite the usual laughable English dub and weird creative choices. Seems like an entertaining enough watch for die hard Kung-Fu fans, or fans of bad movies alike.

This shows the original martial art films in Godfrey Ho's filmography are just as interesting and bizarre as the infamous ninja ones. It stands out as one of his most entertaining works, combing solid fighting and stunts with the aspects that make him stand out as a director - the peculiar editing style, the dubbing of the English language track and the willingness to include anything, no matter how strange or inappropriate it is, into the narrative. The results are enjoyable.
