1930 was a weird year for Hollywood musicals. Good News is more old news that's dated very badly. The sets looks like what only a local theater production would be proud of. Not a glamorous MGM extravaganza! The material feels way to juvenile and simple, but there are some cute moments. Mostly involving Bessie Love & Gus Shy on support, as well as Cliff Edwards. The leads however were forgettable and was soon to be totally forgotten.
