Slightly uneven with it becoming quite rushed towards the end, but quite enjoyable overall with some surprisingly dark and surprisingly heartfelt moments dotted throughout. Nothing amazing but rather decent nonetheless.

The story was new and very interesting to me, but the actual execution of it left something to be desired. It simply wasn't that well-directed, and there were some serious structural and pacing issues. Which is a shame, because it did have some nice, heartwarming moments. The little boy playing was very cute, but Robbie was horribly miscast as his mother. The real MVP was Macdonald, who brought such warmth and life to the movie. Overall, it was a decent movie, but it could've been better.

Feels contrived and poorly paced, just jumping from scene to scene. Gleeson is far from his best.

I never could decide if the angst Milne was going through, and Christopher's growing sense of being exploited, actually caused him to eventually stop writing the stories, or was contrived. Rightly or wrongly it ends up being one of those melancholy, depressed by success tearjerkers.

Surprisingly moving, and very well acted. A good exposé of family relationships between the wars.
