Gospel According to Harry

Part religious allegory, part domestic drama, part cultural satire. It doesn't really succeed at any of those, but somehow I found it appealing anyway. It smacks of pretention, the acting isn't that great (and for some of the supporting cast, downright poor) and the humor isn't that incisive. But I really liked the aesthetics of it... all those desert visuals, the haunting score, the moody pacing. And I wanted to see how it would pan out, what would happen to these people.
