This has got to have some of the worst editing that I have ever seen. Overall the was a slightly less than average slasher film that still manages to be better than a lot of what was put out in the early '80s.

This is certainly not "Halloween", but might still be worth a watch for fans of slasher flicks and/or bad cinema. Mainly for some 80's camp, scenery-chewing Christopher George and unintentional comedy. It's one of the few slashers that takes place in college and contains more T&A than usually in the genre. There are also tons of plot holes, some experimental editing and a song that goes on for 7mins+.

Not sure why but it hit all the right notes for me. Got all the high school tropes. Terrible cheesy lines. Silly but varied murder methods, with the silliest being the sword through the football somehow being thrown perfectly to pierce the football player. Some B-star power with Linnea Quigley, Patch Mackenzie, and Vanna White, who reminds me that she's timeless. It drags a bit towards the end with the killer being impossibly fast and hardy. Fav scene: '80s roller skating music and dance number.

Despite the goofy subplots this movie has some nicely brutal kills and actually contains suspense at times.

The insane editing rhythms that several reviews below complain about are actually the closest thing to a notable element I found in the film - it’s otherwise on the very dull end of 80s slashers. Main chick has way too little screen time until the climax, offscreen for huge stretches in favor of way too many boring, mostly anonymous and indistinguishable teens. The lack of budget for extras also shows as the graduating class for this large high school appears to be like 20 people lol

Dia de Formatura estreava há 40 anos nos EUA. Mais um episódio da minha saga eu odeio slasher, mas quero ver todos os filmes do mundo. Plus: Linnea Quigley nua desde tempos imemoriais. BlurayRip RARBG.

As far as slashers go, this is nothing special, but there's far worse out there. The performances are fine, the effects are alright (even though some of the kills are barely shown,) and there's actually some semblance of character & story put into it, which is always fun to see. The mystery element is fairly predictable, but done well enough to be interesting. Its biggest weak point is the godawful editing in spots, which gets very irritating. Overall, a serviceable low-rent slasher.

Schrödinger's slasher: Where the entire point of the movie is to establish every single name character as a possible killer. Not for spooks or thrills, or for the joy of putting the clues together (there are none), but simply because that's the only trope you know. That said, there is some classic Troma sleaze here. Not much, but some.
