Grand Isle

This film starts off with an intriguing premise but the script really goes off the rails in the final act of the movie. The cast does a good job with their roles but unfortunately they can't overcome the bad script. Overall this movie is disappointing.

There are moments when the sun starts to shine through on this one but it never comes out fully. Nicolas Cage has some moments where his acting style fits perfectly with the character. KaDee Strickland is super creepy throughout. The twists in this movie never really pay off. I would like to see more of Kelsey Grammer in this kind of role. If you have a lazy afternoon and you want to see some Nic Cage schlock, then this movie fits the bill. Otherwise, stay away.
