Could have been a better kind of 'silly fun', since it began with a cool premise, but got repetitive and tedious at the second half or so. And the mood that was once ingenuous got quite stupid, actually. But anyway, it's worth a watch, if you're a fan of 70s-style carsploitations.

Howard's directorial debut is pretty typical 1970's Roger Corman production. Howrd co-wrote the film with his dad Rance, who also appears in the film along with his brother Clint. A bunch or Corman regulars show up, including Paul Bartel and radio DJ Don Steele. Howrd also gets his "Happy Days" co-star Marion Ross to play a villain ... and Gary Marshall pops up briefly as a gangster.
