The Rob Schneider Project- day 21. After today's experiment (an incredibly bland comedy with no discernable plot or jokes and terribly annoying characters) we were discussing our experiences in the cafeteria. Dr. Fitch jokingly remarked Schneider was actually the best thing about this movie. A nearby guard overheard, screamed, drew a gun and shot him! I must've fainted, as I woke up back in my quarters, the door locked from outside. What the hell is going on?!? Schneider-annoyance factor: 0.8

Stupid. The filmmakers made the error of assuming that what boils down to a filmed 90-minute drug-fueled party will be just as fun for the viewers to watch as it was to film, no wit, clever jokes, decent characters, or decent acting required! Well, whoops, someone fucked up! I struggled to so much as crack a smile.

Horrible trash. Didn't even like Kevin Nealon in this, and that is saying something. I don't really have anything good to say about this. The only small highlight (and I am stretching here) is maybe the small David Spade cameo.

I love toilet humor and shitty movies, but my god is this movie terrible. Alan Covert sucks and should never be a main character, and the video game scenes are beyond awful. It's not even remotely funny, and you'd think that Happy Madison would be able to do much better (without even trying, which they obviously didn't here).

This movie has always crushed my expectations. The first time I expected nothing and found it hilarious, then I saw it again and it wasn't even half as funny as I remembered it. Caught it again on tv and it was hilarious. What gives? Also, it should be noted that I've seen Casablanca once. I absolutely loved that movie. What's wrong with me?

Happy Madison Productions puts out possibly the best film featuring the friends of Adam Sandler to date. Long time friend Allen Covert co-wrote and stars in this stoner comedy classic along side all your favorite Happy Madison regulars. Full of endlessly quotable nonsense.

Of course like most Happy Madison productions this movie is critically maligned buuut There's going to be a new generation of film viewers who are raised on happy Madison and maybe we can swing the pendulum in how comedy is seen. Don't worry I'm here to lead the revolution! So take off the woody Allen jacket, give Charlie Chaplin a handjob and just laugh at genius.

Bearing no resemblance to the Lloyd film of the same name, GB is one of the early Happy Madison hang out films that made no bones about being exactly that: an excuse for Sandler's less famous friends to goof around on his company's dime and a tax write-off that performed unexpectedly well on DVD.It does a pretty good job of lampooning the insularity of the nerdy video game culture, and its loose 'anarchic structure' is more of a genuine throwback to the spirit of 80's comedies than American Pie.

Oddly lethargic, unfocused gross-out/stoner comedy pulls back on the gross, and can’t quite seem to come to grips with where its focus wants to be – the “grandmas” are sidelined for the most part, while a sitcom workplace plot plays out. It’s telling that one of the best gags is mercilessly referenced and called back multiple times with a sickly air of desperation. Marginally worth it for Roberts, Knight and Jones who come primed to play, but are ironically given little to do except get wasted.

Another world where "game design" equals "sit in your room holding a game controller", and thus programmers are overpaid, useless and pretty stupid, rite? Looking back though, I was too harsh on it. The next generation's version of Half-Baked, this is actually really funny most of the time, kind of funny some of the time, and not funny at all when the fake-baked naked guy who wants to get a lion to guard his house is on the screen. Really not so terrible, aside from any scenes that involve video games (People who know nothing about a certain subject should definitely never write movies about said subject). This movie is pretty bad. Some of the jokes are REALLY bad. And yet, I laughed. I laughed and I laughed, and in my head the whole time I knew it was bad, but I kept on laughing anyway. For all of its misfires, and believe me when I say that there are plenty, it's just funny enough to earn a half-hearted endorsement. Very overrated in some circles, and it is really obnoxiously stupid, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy myself.
