Greased Lightning

It's really hard to rate this as it's not really much of a movie, It's more a random compilation of scenes barely held together with sung narratives.

Exists, more or less.

"Greased Lightning" effortlessly fits the mold of 70s car chase/race films. The classic narrative of a moonshine runner outwitting the local sheriff, leading to numerous car wrecks, is prevalent. Yet, for me, it was Scott's confrontation with racism, infused with a sprinkle of hope, that elevated the film and made it worth watching.

Passes the time.

This was a different type of role for Richard Pryor and he did fine with the task. Unfortunately Pam Grier was given very little to do here. The script was nothing special and that made for an average movie.
