Another 20s cartoon character, another Great War nostalgia piece inspired by the blockbusters of the day. It's got the joys of mass conscription, the sweetheart, the trench warfare, and the dogfight (a new necessary element in the age of Wings). Oswald has inherited his predecessors' penchant for strikingly violent bodily harm (well, by 20s kiddy cartoon standards), which fits the theme all too well.
