I think I saw about 4 different bears all acting as a composite single bear in what must be Hackl's expressionist 'bare' bear. Falls into the usual..trappings..

I'm okay with the CG supernatural bear that keeps changing size but the silly subplots and clunky exposition to explain backstory should've been left out, after all this is supposed to be an exploitation film. Also I guess the producers thought Piper Perabo was such a bad actress it was better to give her no speaking part

Beautiful scenery, and not without entertainment value, but a poor script, poor CGI effects, & really crappy editing, especially during action sequences, drag this down.

Not much here other than the scenes with an actual bear.

Considering this film had 4 diffferent titles, it suggest that the writers didnt really know what the story was. That's certainly borne out by the film itself. Its an editing nightmare!! It starts out with two kids about to be eaten and then fast forwards 20yrs to an adult on a bus, and we are supposed to know that he was one of them!! The whole sequence is pointless. There is some realistically powerful violence in this film, but Bart the Bear takes all the accolades, hamming it up big time!

With a length of 1h.30mnts is shorter than other films with less duration. Marsden hot as usual.

The script could have used some rewrites. There are a few good moments and scenes in this movie but the characters seem underdeveloped. None of the performances really stand out here. Overall this film is disappointing.

Watchable grizzly chase, but falls too easily into a standard formula feeling uninspired. Had a good cast, so it's sad they didn't get anything better to work with.

Sucks for giving annoying characters serious and stupid background stories. However, the bear does deliver the final 10 minutes.
