Grotesque

This is one weird fucking movie. Given the set up, you think you understand the trajectory, but Apisa's abrupt arrival throws the film into a completely new genre. By the time we enter the third act, a whole new genre starts up with two twists ... one obvious, one not quite as obvious. It's far from being a great movie, but it entertains the hell out of you, mainly by refusing to sit still. The film ends by completely shattering the fourth wall and becoming some kind of weird meta comedy.

Probably the most memorable thing about this movie is a young Linda Blair

Admittedly, this is not what one would call quality filmmaking, but to 80's horror lovers "Grotesque" is a mammoth pistache of basically everything you might want. Words can't describe it, but trust me, go watch this friggin' movie, it's 80's schlock gold.

A bizarre blending of horror tropes in a movie that has very little horror in it. There is a secluded cabin, there is a special effects guru, there is a home invasion, there is a disfigured dude, there is manhunt, there is revenge- Grotesque has it all.

Two terror merge and it's not very rewarding when they do. Some punkers (noted as such in the film) break into a house and terrorize a family by basically killing almost all of them. Amongst the family is a deformed man that lives in the walls or something and he begins exacting revenge on the punkers, but ultimately meets his doom at the hands of the police. That sounds like I spoiled the end but there is so much more after that. None of it necessary.
