Things don't seem to change much in Wabasha County: Max and John are still fighting after 35 years, Grandpa still drinks, smokes, and chases women , and nobody's been able to catch the fabled "Catfish Hunter", a gigantic catfish that actually smiles at fishermen who try to snare it... (imdb)

grumpy old men RETURNS! and it's every bit as charming as the original, and every bit as good. jack lemmon and walter matthau still have every ounce of their unreasonably large amounts of acting prowess.

Sequels to really good movies usually end up being a bad idea. That would be the case for this movie as well, were it not for the eternally stunning Sophia Loren.

as though who know me will attest, i have a geriatric fixation. i liked the first movie, and saw this just because of it. not much has changed, but jack lemmon and walter matthau can still pull off their odd couple shtick and elicit a few laughs.

If you can't get enough of the first, this is the perfect sequel.

Better than the original, but doesn't come close to their films in the 60s and 70s. A true guilty pleasure. I could probably recite this entire movie if paid enough. Lemmon & Matthau are fantastic as usual, as are Burgess Meredith, Sophia Loren and Catfish Hunter.

Passable yet forgettable sequel to a surprisingly good first movie.

Pretty much the same as the first movie except this time Walter Matthau's character gets the girl.

Just a rehash of the first film, but Sophia Loren is still stunning, though.

The masses want more of Jack Lemmon and Mathau sex comedies.

It's a Lemmon/Matthau movie not called The Odd Couple II. You know it's good. Sure, it doesn't quite live up to its predecessor but it still delivers the laughs in great quantities.
