Filmmaker Jose Luis Guerin documents his experience during a year of traveling as a guest of film festivals to present his previous film. What emerges is a wonderfully humane and sincere portrayal of the people that he meets when he goes off the beaten track in some of the world's major cities. (imdb)

First off, this film has nothing to do with film festivals or the director. It's a sort of travel diary composed of conversations with random strangers around the world (predominantly central and Latin America). So what do we learn from Guerin? That crazy old men are more interesting than we thought. That foreign cultures can seem a million miles away. That everybody has their own problems. Some captivating parts, but no way did this self-indulgence fest need to be 2 hours long.
