This was a very lackluster cheap western that simply seems to be going through the motion with everyone putting in the least amount of effort.

Smiley Burnette being there sure gives the Durango Kid westerns with Charles Starrett some personality, but I'm not sure their collaboration gives this the right dynamic. It's not like Smiley and Gene Autry, which felt natural. This one feels forced and there is nothing to play off of. And the plot suffers greatly from that. Especially since it's a lackluster story.
