Hababam sinifi sinifta kaldi

This is not as bad as I feared, in fact it's reasonably funny for a lowest common denominator comedy. I laughed from time to time and wasn't bored. It's not the kind of thing that ages well, though, especially across cultures, and the "blame the parents" ending threw away some of the good will it built up. It's so heavy handed and tonally inconsistent with the rest of the film, and these "kids" are in their 20s.

Juvenile comedy with repulsive characters, stock situations with predictable resolutions, shockingly poor editing and camerawork, annoying music, and a ridiculous attempt at a meaningful ending. There is almost an indescribable charm to it, though... I have to admit that as stupid as it all was, I did smile a few times. It was a vague feeling that these guys believed in what they were doing, no matter how badly they did it. But don't get me wrong... it's still a really shitty movie.

Colossal turd. The high ratings for this baffle me. I expect those kinds of sandbag ratings on imdb, but either the Turkish imdb mafia is expanding it's reach or my taste in movies is much more abysmal than I thought.
