Good, slightly more coherent than I was anticipating. I guess that's ok too.

Not THE BEST Plympton there is, but it's always nice to see his take on mundane topics, in this case: American Highschool drama.

It takes a lot to start the conflict of the movie.

My first encounter with a feature-length Plympton, which is probably simultaneously helped and hindered by its more familiar, approacheable tropes of 50s high school flicks, adolescent romance, and urban legends. The animation is delightfully deranged and I have to respect the dedication to hand-drawn art and watercolor backgrounds. Still, it takes far too long for a plot to emerge and makes me think Plympton is more at home with short vignettes.
