Half of a Yellow Sun

A mix of soapy drama and political speechifying about African civil wars, the director much more at home in the least interesting of those. May have worked better in book-form but this seemed a fairly cynical play for some HOTEL RWANDA critical acclaim.

I don't feel it dealt with the terrible conditions and starvation like the book told.
