Hammer of the Gods

This movie is just fine, I wouldn't say it's good. Some of the action scenes are nice. The scenery is very pretty too. It has sort of a Lord of the Rings feel. The film ends kind of abruptly though. The final scene is also pretty cheesy. At least this film wasn't lengthy. If it was long it would have been a terrible movie. I loved Alexandra Dowling. My main complaint was that she wasn't in enough of this movie. Also, Viking weaponry is really darn cool. Fighting with a hammer is awesome.

I can honestly say that I'm disappointed in this film. I knew it wasn't going to be great but man is this complete garbage. The dialogue was laughably bad, the fighting was embarrassing and the Vikings are portrayed as a cross between "Saved By The Bell" and "The Sopranos". Nothing about this film is even remotely accurate, seems like they got their costumes from a Hercules/Xena garage sale.

No matter how hard they shook the camera it couldn't hide how poor the fighting was. An even worse version of the eagle.

Not as bad as many make out it to be. Worth a watch.

Some vikings wander about, have bad fights, worse dialogue and contemplate the viking lifestyle. You, on the other hand, contemplate if watching this movie was a good idea.

the 3 points i give it come from the setting--not that i give the movie-makers credit for the scenery, just for the choice to use those locales.

If The 300 is the Greek Olympian ideal portrayed onscreen then this is the Hollywood portrayal of the Millwall FC supporter's club. And I fucking hated The 300.

British Neo-gangster Vikings wander about in Wales. There are some good times such as when they beat a woman to death, and bad times such as when Hagrid roofies a guy in order to rape him. Then they go into a spooky forest and find Colonel Kurtz living with his mother, who he occasionally has sex with. After killing him, they go back home. Traumatised with PTSD, they decide that the right thing to do is to lay waste to the entire population of England, which is when the film ends, before that.

This is just plain stupid.
