A tighter movie than the original. It's borderline camp with the scene of Hanzo emerging out of a coffin in female funeral wear or pretending to commit hara-kiri with a watermelon.

|
The shock value of having a self-flagellant, recalcitrant rapist as the protagonist of a cop movie largely wears off after the first film, which makes large chunks of this film feel mostly like a rehash. The superbly-shot dual climax at the end goes a LONG way towards making up for that, though (as does the decision to actually tie up plot threads this time around).
