About as unoriginal and unnecessary as Babe 2.

Excellent animated film aimed at kids, but cheery and joyful enough for adults to enjoy as well, especially with a bubbly voice cast, highlighted by Pitt and Damon as a pair of dopey, albeit intense Krill. Far brighter and more cleverly written than its predecessor, also works in its environmental message in a far more subtle (and successful) way, and appears to have taken another technological leap forward in terms of its striking (and detailed) computer animation.

Better than the first solely for the Brad Pitt-Matt Damon krill Eat Pray Love plot.

Brad Pitt and Matt Damon stole this movie. Not as good music wise as the first, but at least it isn't as environmental.

Better than the first one. Social commentary almost reversed after the first 5 minutes. Excellent use music (which probably turned a lot of people off, one opera number) and CGI.

The story was not the most excellent but I do like the characters and this time the side kicks, shrimps were extremely hilarious. The animation and motion capture was top notch as before and I was very happy there was more characters (other animals) than in the first part.

Just plain ridicilous and awful. They tried to create a Scrat-like character with the krill but failed painfully hard. Where the first happy feet was amusing, creative and hilarious, the sequel lacks every bit of charisma. Absolutely hated it.

Happy Feet Two is a slight rehash of the first film with a greater emphasis on the songs. The animation is really good and there are a few decent jokes but the film quickly gets tiresome.

The opera song (E lucevan le stelle (The stars were brightly shining) from the opera "Tosca" by Giacomo Puccini) made this for me. That was the topping of the cake! What a great inspirational movie. If you're done, this will definitely lift you UP!

"Like me, you probably like a handful of the pop songs, but would describe the experience of seeing them performed by multi-million-dollar, anthropomorphized animals as not being too far off from watching a graphic training film on venereal disease." - Jaime N. Christley

I have not seen the first part and when I was going to part two I did not expect much ... But it was not as bad as I thought it would be. Fun music, the animation was really good. Focused mainly for the kids, but I would not say that this can't be fun watching for adults as well. To summarize everything up - not bad movie at all.

George Miller is an odd filmmaker, but this is baffling, even for him. A movie about some penguins looking down over a cliff at some trapped penguins for 90 minutes. Nothing works to get them out until it does. You know that some tap dancing is going to do it, but you must wade through a narrative that makes little sense to get there. Existential krill and an opera are the highlights, but I can't praise the movie for just being weird.
