A psuedo-rockumentary along the lines of 'This is Spinal Tap', we follow director Bruce Macdonald as he follows punk bank Hard Core Logo on a harrowing last-gasp reunion tour throughout Western Canada. As magnetic lead-singer Joe Dick holds the whole magilla together through sheer force of will, all the tensions and pitfalls of life on the road come bubbling hilariously to the surface. (imdb)

It does have some amusing moments, and "punk version of this is spinal tap" is a good premise, but it just isn't funny enough consistently enough to live up to its inspiration.

This movie is a great ride! There are some really funny moments and a lot of interesting, quirky characters in this film. The actors playing the band really work well together and the music is great. This is my favourite film by Bruce McDonald.

Clever pseudo documentary about an ill-fated Canadian punk band. It falls apart a bit towards the end, but it has one of the best acid-trip sequences in all of cinema history.

Not particularly funny, as I recall. Actually quite a downer. Maybe very good, but go in expecting another "Spinal Tap" and you will be disappointed.

interesting, but could've been done a bit better.

I was expecting Spinal Tap, instead I got a tour de force drama with a few wicked bites of dark humor in the mix. The film just sinks it's claws into you and just does not let go until the jaw-dropping ending.

Interesting mockumentary, sometimes fun and sometimes a little boring (much like how a real tour documentary of a band that you don't know might play). The songs are a standout, they felt very authentic for this band.

It's really a fairly serious examination of the tension between wanting success and living a lifestyle defined by rejecting society's definition of "success". At some point the boundary between being defined by angry rebellion and just being an angry person starts to evaporate.
