Quality crime, from Argentina no less! Intriguing bank fraud angle, with a deliberate prison term, with guilt and paranoia creeping in to create a damn good story. More than anything, it catches the mood in a way I was not expecting from a South American production from this period. Hugo Fregonese controls a production which wouldn't look out of place in any of the top movie countries. Actually it wouldn't be long before he found himself working in Hollywood and all over the world.
