Harmonium

The movie starts out pretty subdued but already at the very beginning you begin to see the cracks and flaws in the little family. It's not perfect, but which family is? The whole deal is about what is the breaking point, exactly, and which event makes those cracks grow too wide, unfixable, and hollow. Loved these shots. They feel very close, very human. The acting is impeccable and while I liked the first half of the movie better than the second, I still felt like it stayed true to its nature.

This is a hard one to rate. On the one hand it was completely captivating. On the other hand, the ending was so infuriating that I'm not going to watch this movie again, certainly not recommend it to anybody, and I genuinely wouldn't mind having it erased from my memory.

Redemption, betrayal and utter tragedy befall a bizarre love triangle in this exquisite family drama. Keeps you gripped from start to finish. Pass the Prozac.
