Hayat var

I don't want to pretend to like it.. the movie is pretentious enough for everyone.

Bir iki uyumsuz diyalog disinda bence yerli sinemanin en guzel orneklerinden biri olarak duruyor Hayat Var. Elit Iscan ismi gibi elit kacar mi varostan bile kotu bu pozisyona diye dusunuyordum ama olmus. Filmi izlerken hakikaten Hayat'in bir parcasi oluyoruz ve hindi tekmelemeyi de, olum kokan dedeyi oldurup hayata sarilmayi da anlayabiliyoruz. Hatta, abi benimle evlen demesini bile anlayabiliyoruz ama keske abi hakkinda biraz daha bilgimiz olsaydi.

Best use of Istanbul in a movie, in a story that essentially is a fuck you to the city and the country. Beautifully filmed - and one of the very few films where I notice the sound (in a positive way).

I can see why people rated this highly but I just cannot stand uber slow movies who has little to no dialogue.

Kızmayın, bu konuda azınlıkta olduğumu da biliyorum ama benim için bu filmin hissedilen süresi 18 saat falan! Müthiş yönetmenlik fikirleri var, ses kullanımı olağanüstü, Reha Erdem'in sevdiğim filmleri de var şüphesiz ama bu maalesef onlardan biri olamadı.

I was so bored.. Sound editing was so disturbing (which was done by Erdem himself). I don't know, I couldn't like it, and I won't pretend that I did. I can't believe that the same person directed Kosmos.. Strange.

Stylistically, this film was quite impressive. The sound design was nice; the framings sometimes exquisite. We get an intimate account of a girl's conditions growing up, staying fixed on her throughout. The repetition of the girl's humming and the music played by her toy bear helped bring us into her world. In many ways, it's an unrelentingly tough film. The ending felt like a cheat.

Odd, exotic & not perfect, but it's a efective imotional Film, wich tells its story in cinematic language and visual defenitions!!!

Belki tekrar izlerim.
