Head in the Clouds

A story of romance, glamor, honor, intrigue and some sadness. Charlize Theron convincingly plays the beautiful pampered socialite, and Penelope Cruz and Stuart Townsend her lovers hopelessly captivated by her charm and allure. The story takes several serious turns and ends sadly. The characters and story were engaging and interesting, and I quite enjoyed watching it unfold. There were several spectacular scenes. Great music, excellent production quality. Overall good movie, but some slow pacing.

Stuart Townsend isn't anywhere near the level of the rest of the cast, but this film has a great story, great music, and with the exception of Townsend, great acting.

boring, theron saves it from being completely intolerable

Superb acting.

Penélope Cruz has been cast aside in this romantic war drama and that's a shame. Charlize and Stuart cannot carry the story by their own. Or maybe it's Jon Duigan's fault. Anyway, there's only one surprise in a story. All the rest is more or less predictable, and I do not like that kind of stories.

A bit too depressing for my tastes, though the acting is lovely.

The movie...not so good, but Charlize Theron and Penelope Cruz kiss and fondle one another.
