Messy and ungainly satire is fairly toothless for the most part – there’s a perhaps unintentionally interesting dichotomy between the fiery and satisfying sequences where Rock riffs on various political topics with the barely concealed anger of a Carlin or Pryor versus the film proper following a predictable plot line almost by rote, while not seeming to have much of an idea as to how politics works, except in the broadest of strokes. Likable enough, but pretty middling.

İşin cılkını çıkarmış 1 politik komedi. Chris Rock'un belediye meclisinde çalışan 1 görevli. Başkan adayları ölünce, yerine geçmesi istenecek. Eğlenceli, komik ama itici. Yalnız geleceği iyi görmüş. Filmin sonunda, kazanan Barack Obama. Güvenlik.

Huge success on big screens as thrown Chris Rock so far that he is starting to hallucinate. And his named the mental state as "Head of State". Pretty weak comedy.

Who knew rescuing someone from a building about to be demolished (i.e. local news stuff) would net you a free presidential candidacy? Chris Rock knew... Who knew selecting a running mate was something that could wait until five weeks before election? Chris Rock knew... Who knew that the (one, apparently) presidential debate could wait until the night before the election? ...... I do like this movie, in spite of the amount of liberties taken. It's hard not to root for Chris Rock for president.

Two unforgivable things: I saw a making of featurette that included Chris Rock saying that he had actually been kicking this idea around for a number of years. This idea, the least inspired, most hackneyed concept Rock has been involved with (which is not a pretty list). Secondly, the description of this movie on this very website has a written in record scratch (marked here as "--")

Chris Rock doesn't quite translate the humor in his writing of stand-up to the writing of his movies. It was just disappointing because I know he is a funny guy.

I actually laughed quite a bit at this, particularly Bernie Mac and Tracy Morgan's spots. I may have been drunk, or perhaps it was very late at night though, cause thinking back on it, those are the only parts I remember...

Not that great, but Chris Rock always manages to salvage at least a watchable performance, if not a decent one. Still a horrible movie, but something that if you happen to pass by it on TV is worth a few moments until a commercial break.

Medium. Chris Rock has not yet managed to be really funny in films, as in other places.

Mildly entertaining. Chris Rock is his usual funny but mostly just annoying self in a plot that is just too out there for my tastes (and by out there, I don't mean the part about a black president, just how they go about it...)

It's sad that what could have been a fairly smart political satire ends up being another tired racial comedy rehash. Chris Rock does not seem to be cut out for lead roles; he's at his best when he's making indignant and exasperated commentary, but that same persona is really awkward in romantic and social situations.

Chris Rock is always worth watching. Still this film isn't that good, but Rock makes it watchable.
