Oh, the joy! George 'Gabby' Hayes AND Smiley Burnette together in the same B-western! The ultimate sidekick duo join forces to help Roy Rogers out. Well, not so much help.... Regardless of the novelty of those to mixing, Heart of the Golden West (1942) was underwhelming... until the end where they had that stormy shoot-out. A rare occasion where a Roy Rogers western actually felt thrilling!
