Hele sa Hiwagang Hapis

It's such a slow burn the lights burn out before it can properly capitalize on the material it uses. Becomes too slow and pretentious for it's own good. Still, if you appreciate Lav Diaz's style of film making, Hele sa hiwagang hapis (2016) delivers what you'd expect from him visually. There is a lot of heart and love going into each shot. The story just doesn't grip as strong as some of his other long-players.
