A few key things are really all it take to keep me from violently voiding my bowels all over a new horror film. In the case of Hell Fest, it's a sympathetic turn from Forsyth, colorful and varied sets, Todd looking like a mardi gras King Diamond and the fact that the jumpscares (not a fan of those) are sort of justified when your movie is set at a location people go to specifically to be... well, jumpscared. Not a good movie but does what it says on the tin. Taylor-Klaus is annoying though.

pleasantly suprised. It was a pretty good modern slasher. The set design was top notch, with a great use of colors, but I guess setting it in a theme park lends itself to that pretty well. The killer despite being an obvious Myers rip off was pretty creepy and the ending was genuinely offputting. Too bad it's out of theatres already in most places because it's a fun one.

Decent if unremarkable horror throwback that never really lives up to its premise. More of a '90s throwback than anything else and it falls for many of the same pitfalls as those films did. Worth watching but I wouldn't bother buying it.

Hell Fest is for Slasher fans only. I’m easy to please with slashers, so I can kinda forgive that this does a lot wrong. The lead girl, and two of the guys are very thin and uninteresting characters. I didn’t care whether they died at all. Also the back to back deaths were underwhelming and a tad confusing. We’re used to over the top deaths and suddenly that happens. The film is allowed to use jump scares, but are poor and fall flat. I will say that I REALLY liked the guillotine part.

I love the synopsis of a film like this. Something like this could be really good with the right creative director. That isn't really here. It's merely subpar, and while there is nothing that is actually bad about it, it doesn't impress in any areas either. So, it kind just becomes a tug and pull of being fine enough to see it through to the end, and being left empty when you actually get there. It's a fine time burner, or if you're really in the Halloween mood, but still very meh.

Cheap and lame. Most of the supposed jump scares are part of the actual (and lousy) rides.

Actually a ton of fun I don't get why no one saw this!! Maybe it came out a little early? I love scenes lit the way some of these carnival scenes are.

Bir cadılar bayramı filmi daha. Ergenlerin bir korku festivalinde ölmelerini izliyoruz. Aralarında kurtulanlar oluyor. 80 li yılların gençlik korku filmlerini canlandırılmak istenmiş. Set tasarımına bayıldım. Katilin Michael Myers'a benzemesi, göndermeden çok taklit gibi durdu. Yine de korkunç. Adamın beyninin pestilini çıkardı.

Basic slasher movie with great visuals and a decent premise. Characters were paper thin and some dialogue felt improvised. The ending of the movie felt forced to add some shock value.

If the third act wasn't such a colossal mess, this would've gotten a higher rating. But, even then, it's not great. The premise feels wasted, the pacing is slow, and overall it's fairly boring to sit through despite how short it is. The ending wasn't for me. I did, though, enjoy Tony Todd's appearance, and thought the acting wasn't horrible.

A run-of-the-mill slasher rehashing the setting of things like "Funhouse", "The Houses October Built" and "Hell House LLC", with a masked killer in the vein of "Friday the 13th" and "Halloween". At least they didn't try to "found footage" this, but really, it's not so much a "Hell Fest" as a snooze-fest.

While the sets and costumes are pretty incredible, Hell Fear gains a bunch of scares consisting of a character just staring at his victims and turning his head slowly. Great aesthetic with a pretty average execution.
