Henry Aldrich for President

The first Henry Aldrich movie with Jimmy Lydon, replacing Jackie Cooper, who did the first two. Lydon would star in the rest, totaling nine appearances as the goofy teen. And right away Lydon feels like a better choice for this type of juvenile comedy role. In his first appearance he's cast as a dummy candidate for school president, and that creates a lot of silly situations, and some aerial stunts! A lot going on. Little of it plausible, but all in spirit of making a youthful comedy.
