Surprised my PSI was 79 for this and that other people rank this so high. I found this to be quite dull. It's one of those long movies where nothing really happens. I just don't get the point of this movie.

The atmosphere created by this film is so intoxicating that I practically had to pinch myself after it was over to remind myself that I was in 1990 San Diego. A big deal was made at the time about this being the first NC-17 film. The naked babes are just a small fraction of what this movie has to offer

I was 16 when this came out, probably the perfect age to find this kind of fare deeply interesting, particularly Thurman & de Medeiros. I saw it again in my early 30s and found it less exciting but still a successful film overall.
