Hi Diddle Diddle (1943) is a middle of the road screwball comedy featuring mostly washed-up actors. It even brings in Pola Negri for her first movie in 5 years and last for 20 years, for a role she'll not be remembered for. Adolphe Menjou, while not in his prime, could still go! The old man basically carries the entire film with his energy, along with Billie Burke in small doses. Plenty of chaos and good fun, but for me, little that'll make it stand out in the long run.
