High School II

This is a sequel of sorts to 'High School' with the intervening years and difference of location (for this film New York but for its predecessor Philadelphia) making for a stark contrast of not only pedagogy (focus here is 'habit of mind') but also culture and society more broadly. Everything that occurs in this film is framed by the Rodney King 'incident'. This is what an educational institution looks like that (rightly) tries to support students to be politically active citizens.
