A great film for people of a certain age - for everyone else it may seem rather flat. Sinatra, Kelly and Crosby carry the scenes in which they appear although there isn't enough Louis Armstrong for my taste. Will appeal to the older generation but if you're after a nostalgia trip this could be an ideal film to catch.

Utterly superfluous and tone-deaf remake of Philadelphia Story. It's the cinematic equivalent of watching an inept bar band cover a song you really like. Cole Porter adds maybe one worthwhile song to liven up the proceedings (hint: it's not the unintentionally funny one where Bing Crosby appears to romantically serenade a prepubescent girl.)

The things that work well work better in The Philadelphia Story, and the songs aren't particularly memorable. The chemistry between characters is not as strong. Still a fun watch overall, but it doesn't really bring much new to the table.

A musical version of "A Philadelphia Story". Just as enjoyable as the original if not more. And of course, the musical stylings of Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, and Louis Armstrong make for a wonderful time!

The cast works well together and the dialogue is pretty sharp at times. The music is the draw, and that aspect is a mixed bag. Everything with Louis Armstrong is gold, but the rest is very forgettable.

Charming, but never exceptionally so. This is at its best when Frank Sinatra's on screen; his numbers with Celeste Holm and Grace Kelly are the clear highlights. Louis Armstrong adds some much needed life during his brief appearances.

Pleasant enough, but doesn't have the spark that makes Philadelphia Story a great movie.

Actually, I was fairly impressed by this movie, Sinatra and Crosby are charming. Grace Kelly's character was fairly annoying, but that's countered by Armstrong and a tight script. The music here is awesome.

The male stars in this comedic caper all fade into the background, insignificant beside Grace Kelly's beauty, charisma, poise and charm. She lords it round the sets, showing off all the best lines, costumes and camera angles. Nobody else has a chance really, even Satchmo and Bing get outshone. This makes the film somewhat unbalanced. It's watchable, but nothing sensational. I didn't care for the trite plot... but they were the fashion at the time.

Beautiful, from the environments to the clothing, this is a great looking film. The music really helps liven up the whole picture. Definitely worth your time.

Managed through half of it, pretty boring stuff, even though I love all things Kelly&Sinatra

Pales in comparison to The Philadelphia Story, but does have a charm of its own.

This film is anthologic! How about a musical with songs of cole porter and interpratation by louis armstrong and bing crosby? And also with the beauty of the princess grace kely.

This is okay, I guess. Rather uninspired, though. No one's heart seems to be fully in it. The sets and colors are nice, but the direction is flat. The acting is decent, but again, uninspired. Basically it needed more Louis Armstrong.

Lightweight, old fashioned, watchable musical comedy. However it all feels very empty and lacks the spark and wit of The Philedelphia Story

Man, the casting directors seriously lucked out. Too bad I'm not a big fan of Crosby or Sinatra.

Very funny entrance by the two sisters pretending to be wildly eccentric society folk to the Spy magazine. And great songs like Who wants to be a millionaire. But did not hang that well together rather than be a collection of good songs.

Decent fun with a stellar cast.
