It's a barely competent film in every department. Nothing is outright bad, but it's neither as funny nor as poignant as it believes itself to be, the acting is weak which makes the characters annoying (except satan, the one shining bright spot in the film that hints at what could be), and the story is a great noir premise squandered by lack of ambition in making it come together.

Not very funny, and just a little better than mediocre. Elevated by some nice landscapes. However, if you, like me, enjoy seeing movie portrayals of Satan, you HAVE TO see this movie. The Satan supporting character/plot device in this is so funny and down-to-earth--it seems like what he'd actually do on Earth now.

A well made, quirky little Canadian film. A good performance by Don Mckellar. This is part of the rock & roll trilogy, directed by Bruce McDonald.
