The worst piece of propaganda I have ever seen. Apparently Dinesh is incapable of understanding that there was a paradigm shift in the parties right around the civil rights movement. This is as misleading, if not more so, than the propaganda Joseph Goebbels was spewing nearly a century ago. I'm guessing anyone with half a brain has come to this conclusion already. The rest of you should be lobotomized.

There is one sentence spoken by D'Souza in this movie that I wholeheartedly agree with, and that is "I think I must be the stupidest criminal in the history of American jurisprudence" (05:12).

I'm not interested in this type of film or this director, so I don't want Criticker to recommend similar films for me.

The Democrats, still as racist as when they founded the Klan, are now trying to literally steal America through a Hillary presidency, and it's up to the intrepid Dinesh D'Souza to uncover all the hidden facts you could find by checking Wikipedia. "Absurd" is hardly sufficient to describe the deluded nature of the whole thing, but Hillary haters and ironic observers should both enjoy the most ridiculous moments (like Wilson's viewing of The Birth of a Naiton), though at 107 minutes it grows dull.

It's blatantly clear what the film is trying to do with the cheap manipulative techniques and the more-than-obvious propaganda that are used. Which, to counter the other reviewer's point, is not what propaganda is - the quoted Joseph Goebbels also said that real propaganda is when the people under its influence are "confident they are acting out of their own free will." Which is exactly what the liberal progressive left has achieved today. So, a manipulative film - yes - but factually correct.

It doesn't open wide until Jul 22, but 3 days prior there's already an enormous canyon between the critics (10%) and the audience (76%) on Rotten Tomatoes. What did we expect? The movie opens saying it was based on truth, but I think it's better to say that it's a documentation of suppressed history. I learned a lot and it confirmed a lot. One newbie for me is Ida B. Wells, one of the founders of the NAACP, who was a Republican and worked for a Republican newspaper in Chicago, documenting lynchi
