All respects for Svankmajer to collect the most variation of different spiecies, but like this it was just a choreographed images according the score. The story was rather loose.

Jan Svankmajer has some sort of fetish with people eating and close-ups on faces, and it's more disturbing than interesting.

Basically a 9-minute version of the "waking lion" sequence from Potemkin. Some good visuals and the first appearance of grody Svankmajer food, but inessential.

Great! Certainly one of the best Svankmajer's early short films.
